Our Facilities

At Kai Iwi we are lucky to have many great facilities. Apart from our teaching areas that include 4 spacious classrooms we have an office block, a community hall, and a library. We are adding to our facilities in at the moment by providing a Science, Technology and Arts (STA) building. The construction project will be finished in Term Two 2006. The playgrounds contain in-ground trampolines, an adventure playground, a multipurpose court area and a swimming pool. The playing fields are large and well maintained and we keep the area fresh and vibrant by planting new native trees on a regular basis.

We have 3 PC's per classroom and have 10 laptops that are used by each classroom on an 'as required' basis. Our entire computer network has recently been  upgraded to the latest standards. ( Our children use the IT facilities on a daily basis. (A team from Kai Iwi have been placed in the Netguide Web Design competition with their recycling website.)

Families enjoy safe off road parking and buses are available for transporting the children, including one owned by the school.
